This Payment Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing all payments made to and from JPM Escrow Service. By using our Service, you agree to comply with this policy in its entirety.
1. Acceptable Payment Methods
To ensure the security and efficiency of all transactions, JPM Escrow Service accepts both traditional and digital payment methods for funding an escrow account:
Traditional (Fiat) Payments:
Wire Transfer: This is our preferred method for most transactions, as it provides a secure, verifiable trail and is suitable for all values.
Bank Account Transfer (ACH): Accepted for smaller to medium-sized payments, though processing times may be longer compared to wire transfers.
Credit/Debit Cards: We accept payments via major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) for your convenience. Please note that these transactions may be subject to additional fees and limits.
Cryptocurrency Payments:
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH): We accept these leading cryptocurrencies for funding escrow accounts. These transactions are processed via a secure, third-party payment gateway to ensure a seamless and safe experience.
Stablecoins: We also accept stablecoins like USDT and USDC, which provide the benefits of crypto transactions (speed and low fees) while maintaining a stable value pegged to fiat currency.
We do not accept payments via cash, money orders, checks, or direct peer-to-peer (P2P) transfers without using our designated payment gateways. This ensures all transactions are properly documented and secured.
2. Payment Timelines
Deposits:
Wire Transfers: Funds are typically credited within one business day.
ACH Transfers: Payments can take 3 to 5 business days to clear. The transaction will only proceed after the funds are fully cleared.
Credit/Debit Cards: Payments are generally processed instantly, but may take up to one business day to be available in the escrow account.
Cryptocurrency: Crypto payments are confirmed and credited to the escrow account after a sufficient number of network confirmations, which typically occurs within minutes to an hour, depending on network congestion.
Disbursements:
Once a transaction is completed and all conditions are met, JPM Escrow Service will disburse the funds.
Fiat Disbursements: Funds are disbursed via wire transfer to the seller's designated bank account.
Crypto Disbursements: We can disburse funds in cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC, ETH) to the seller's crypto wallet address as specified in the transaction agreement. This is a fast and efficient option for sellers who prefer to receive crypto assets directly.
3. Transaction Fees
A service fee is charged for all transactions. Our fee structure is transparent and may vary based on the transaction amount, type, and payment method used. The fee will be automatically deducted from the escrowed funds before the final disbursement is made.
Additional Fees:
Wire Transfer Fees: Standard bank fees for sending and receiving wires are the responsibility of the user.
Credit/Debit Card Processing Fees: An additional percentage-based fee may be applied.
Network Fees: Blockchain network fees (gas fees) for crypto transactions are the responsibility of the user and will be applied at the time of the transaction.
Dispute Fees: A fee may be assessed if a transaction enters a dispute resolution process.
4. Payment Security and Compliance
All funds, whether fiat or crypto, are held in secure, segregated accounts. Fiat funds are held in a non-commingled trust account, and crypto assets are held in a secure, multi-signature wallet to prevent unauthorized access. This ensures your assets are protected and are not used for operational purposes. We are committed to strict financial regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) protocols, and may require additional information to verify your identity and the source of funds.
5. Currency and Asset Conversion
All transactions are managed in the currency or asset in which they were initiated. For example, a transaction funded in Bitcoin will be disbursed in Bitcoin, unless both parties explicitly agree to a conversion. Any currency or asset conversion fees will be the responsibility of the user.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
In the event that a transaction is canceled, the funds will be refunded to the buyer's original payment method, minus any non-refundable fees. For crypto transactions, the refund will be processed in the same cryptocurrency originally received.
